FB_IMG_1422830251336RM: Bojana, do you remember your first experience with gym training and what is what like?

BV: Throughout my life I have always been a competitive athlete. First in gymnastics, for many years and then in track & field.
My first experience with gym training was a long time ago when I was a track & field athlete at age 12. I started with gym training when I decided to prepare for my first fitness show. I remembering that I was amazed with Monica Brant, Cory Everson and Linda Murray posters on the gym wall. I was training for many hours every day, without music, literary hypnotized with their photos on the gym walls; that was my pre workout energy and motivation! Like many yong and eager athletes I overtrained and sometimes burned out 🙂 lol! It is nice to remember these days, especially because I since have met all of them personally.

RM: What does your weekly training schedule look like?

BV: My weekly training combines a lot of cardio workouts with basic traditional weight training. I love to train hard on basic exercises: squats, conventional deadlifts, bench presses, rows, chins…..I usually train one or two body parts a day and my routine varies week to week due to my contest schedule. I constantly alters my routine and incorporate new exercises and necessary changes in consultation with my trainer. Straight sets, drop sets as well super sets are usually part of my program. A lot of attention on my legs, back and shoulders, since I am competing in Figure class and constantly trying to achieve my best look depending on the official criteria for that division as well as judges feedback.

RM: What is the best thing about competing?

BV: In my case, I would describe that with Jack LaLanne saying, “I do it as a therapy. I do it as something to keep me alive. We all need a little discipline. Exercise is my discipline.”

RM: Name 3 future goals you have – it can be both inside and outside your fitness career

BV: My personal life and professional goals are all right where I want them to be 🙂 I want to continue to grow…business wise my main goal is connected with one word- Olympia. In my personal life everything is connected with one person, Chris Minnes.

RM: What are your passions besides training?

BV: Skiing, traveling…good food and working on plans for my new contest suits line.

RM: This question might correlate with an earlier but when will we see you on stage again?

BV: Very soon at the Governors Cup Sacramento, I will be on stage exactly on my Birthday 🙂

RM: Ok Bojana, It’s time for the wrap uo, please feel free to thank someone or maybe add something else:

BV: I want to thank my love and biggest supporter Chris Minnes for everyday of our life together, my amazing coach Kim Oddo and incredible supportive sponsors IronMag Labs, Liquid Sun Rayz, Jagware suits and bikinis.

Bojana, thank you for taking part in this interview. Rising Muscle’s wishes you all the best and keep up the great work you’r putting into your lifestyle.
