RM: Caroliina, what inspired to begin with weight training in addition, what made you later on decide to compete?

CK:  I have trained all my lif11897004_10206473469047797_2106235376_ne. When i was child i have done gymnastic and track and fields. At öatest i compete at triple jump and pole vault. I had many medals from Finnish Championships at track and field. I had to stop track and field training because many inquiries at 7-8 years ago. I have trained at the gym almost 10 years now. I have also coaching track and field athletics and personal trainer clients almost 10 years and i love my job! When i have to end track and field competitions i wanted to find another kind to compete in something. 🙂 I like to training at the gym and many people there persuade me to thinking about bikini fitness or body fitness competitions. So i contact to my first coach and we started to train seriously.

RM: What is the best thing about competing?

CK: I like to challenge myself all the time at every part of life. At the working life and the student life also. I like to go forward all the time and getting better day by day. When i compete i see the results after every competition. I think that you have to always be better than yesterday! 😉

RM: What does a day in Caroliina’s life look like, from the time you get up, and later go to bed:

CK: At this time when i’m on the competition prep i wake up usually at 8 or 9 o clock. First i do some morning cardio (at 5 times per week), walking or running with my dog. 🙂 Then i eat breakfast and do a little bit work at the computer. Answering emails to my online clients, other paper work and things like that. Sometimes i have training with my clients at the morning but usually  at the afternoon. I like to do my own training at the afternoon or in the evening. Then i have the best energy. 🙂 I’m not a morning person haha. At the evening when i get to hoCaroliina-6me i make foodprep to the next day.

RM: What does your weekly training schedule look like?

CK: Usually i like to train at the gym 5 times per week. And morning cardio 45-60min 5 times per week. This is an example:

Monday: Quadrizeps, glutes and calves
Tuesday: Shoulders and abs
Wednesday: Back and biceps
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Legs, Glutes and abs
Saturday: Shoulders, Breast and triceps
Sunday: Rest

RM: How would you define a great bikini competitor?

CK: First of all the wholeness is the main thing. You have to find your own style and bring out the best in you. You have to have “good genes”, which means that you must have a “x-shaped” body. Very narrow waist, round buttock and little bit wide shoulder. Of course you have to be pretty and love to be on stage too. But this it competitive sports like any other so you have to be competitive type of person and mentally very strong. At the stage you are all alone regardless of how professional or best support you have. You also need good color, hair and face too. But the wholeness, structure, face, beauty and shape are the main things what judges looking for.

_I0B7272-EditRM: Ok Caroliina, it is to do wrap up this interview,  if there is anything you want to add, please feel free to do so:
