Gabe Moen is a professionally promoted athlete, NPC Super Heavy Body Builder, and fitness model who grew up in Waterloo, Nebraska, and currently resides in Tacoma, Washington.
Gabe started powerlifting at the age of 16 and continued until the age of 21 before deciding to turn to bodybuilding at the age of 22. Bodybuilding seemed much more glamorous and rewarding. Gabe won overall in the beginner category and in the open category for big men at his first show and got the urge to continue competing. He decided to move back to the West Coast and began competing in the Tacoma Golds Classic in Tacoma, Washington in 2003.
Gabe began working as a trainer at Bally Total Fitness and stayed there for 3 years. Because of his experiences, he hated the corporate gyms, so he decided to open his own gym in 2008, which was very successful until the depression hit and his landlord went bankrupt. Gabe was forced to close his doors.
Gabe had given up on the gym business until 2010 when his friend Stan Efferding called him and offered him the opportunity to run his new gym, Flex Wheeler Fitness. He supported Stan for 2 years until he bought the gym and changed the name to GStandard Gym.
Gabe loves owning and running a specialized gym that is different from all the others. He is passionate about working with others and sharing his 20+ years of bodybuilding experience.
