RM: Sarah before you got involved with weight training and competing in bikini what was your main focus in life?

SA:  As far as sports and having an active lifestyle, it was all about my horse riding.  I was in our states’ under 21 dressage squad with one of my horses while competing both my horses most weekends and train ing and caring for them everyday.

High school was pretty much made up of waking up feeding & rugging both horses and possibly training one in the morning before school then coming home from school, trainingthe other horse, feed, rug and clean stables then some homework and bed.

SA: It was amazing.  Both the on stage experience and off stage with our Australian team and getting to meet amazing women from all over the world.

Our hotel was right next to a massive shopping mall so needless to say there was a lot of “cardio shopping” going on in the lead up to competition day.

Joe Spinello, the promoter and organiser of the competition did an amazing job with a smoothly run show and a perfectly catered for dinner and after party.hhh

RM: What is next for you in your fitness career?

SA: I am preparing for the 2015 IFBB pro competitions and the travel that will be required.

I will be altering a few things in my training to really bring up any areas that I feel are lagging.

RM: Are you making any New Years resolutions this year?

SA:  I would like my whole year planned out but I think that is wishful thinking with pets and children, never mind all the rest of life’s little surprises.

I would like to take more time out with family and fit in a holiday in 2015, maybe on the back of a competition?

RM: What advices would you give to the newcomer Sarah Allen if you could back in time and give yourself a few?

SA: I would say “Be mo560562_285393501569519_1789462111_nre consistent, prep more foods and plan ahead”.

Planning for success in the gym, in the kitchen and with your health will ultimately lead to a good result both in life and on stage.

RM: It’s time to wrap up this interview, if you want to add something or give a shout out to anyone please do so:

To my amazing sponsors who keep me well fed, clothed and providing access to the best supplements in the industry, I wouldn’t get the opportunities I do without your support.
