SE: Yes I was in 7th grade offseason football and I remember maxing out 95lbs on bench. That got me fired up to beat the other kids and so I worked my ass off to get bigger and stronger than the other kids. Then I saw the 2001 Mr Olympia on ESPN and seeing jay cutler beating Ronnie coleman in prejudging. He became my idol and i wanted to look just like him. That is what started my path in competitive bodybuilding.

RM: What does your weekly training schedule look like?

SE:

Sunday: Back
Mondays: Chest
Tuesday: Hams, Glutes
Wednesday: Arms
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Quads and hams
Saturday: Off

RM: What does bodybuilding mean to you?Killer_resized

SE: It’s been a big part of my life. I never was interested in team sports and I was interested in nutrition in high school. I have made a decent living and opened up alot of opportunities for me and my family.  I hope to influence and inspire people around me to become better. hard work ethic is what it takes. So it means alot to me, every day I wake up doing what i love to do.

RM: What are your passions besides training?

SE: I am into country and metal drumming. I use to play in a heavy metal band when I was 16. So good music has been a big part of my life too.

RM: How would you describe your training style?

SE: I would say it is not traditional in that I do alot of power lifting techniques in the offseaon with my training partners who are powerifters. I believe they have made a huge difference in my physique. I also have a coach that kills every week with speed and volume.

RM: When are you planning to compete again?

SE: Our next plan will be USAs  in 2017. We will shoot for super heavy.

ggRM: Ok Scott, it is time for the wrap up. If there is anyone you want to thank or something you want add please feel free to do so,

I would like to thank my wife for putting up with through the years and helping me with food prep. My coach ifbb pro Gina Davis for bring me to the next level and showing I can be a top contender. My training partners James Schneider and Mike Patrick for getting my ass under the heavy squat bar.

RM: Thank you for articipating in this interview Scott! Best of luck in the forthcoming and especially the USA’s next year!
