RM: Michelle, for how long have been training and what are your future goals as a figure competitor?

MS: It’s been about 3 years with a break in between. I started out in 2013 but then life events steered me off my path and had to refocus on myself. After some soul searching and having my strength back, I decided to compete again in 2015. I knew right there and then that this journey was meant for me and because I want to inspire, motivate and empower women all over the world my goal is to becoMichelle Soares Fitness-side wb- buceta 1456me an IFBB Pro so that they know the impossible is possible.

RM: Who has the ideal figure physique from your perspective?

MS: There are many but the one that stands out is Candice Keene. Ever since I committed myself to this sport, I came across Candice Keene. She is such an amazing person inside and out. She inspires me everyday to achieve my dream.

RM: You work partially as a life coach, do you have any favorite quotes which are related to a positive lifestyle?

MS: This quote changed my life. It’s from Napolean Hill “ Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve”. If you truly believe you are destined for greatness then that is exactly what you will get. The mind is a powerful thing and this is why my clients are successful at achieving their goals because we work on the mind/body/heart connection.

RM: Are there any differences between the American fitness industry Vs. the Canadian in your opinion?michelle s. web

MS: In my opinion I do think there are some differences as there are differences with other organizations as well. Each organization differs from how the suit should fit, posing criteria, and even the shape of the body. But, whatever organization chosen, just make sure you fit right in what they expect.

RM: What are the most important things to keep in mind when you are starting a contest diet?

MS: First and foremost, you need to fully commit to the process mentally, physically and spiritually. There is no in between. You will go through a lot of changes that will test your will power. It will take everything you have for you not to cheat on your diet or give up. Second, it is important that you find a strong support group of people. There are days where you will feel mentally tired and sometimes your mind may play tricks on you, but your support group will keep you grounded, focused and give you the strength when you are weak.

RM: When will we see you compete again?153-Michelle Soares-3

MS: Expect to either see me at the Arnolds in Ohio (2016), CBBF Nationals in July (2016) or the North Americans in September (2016). Stay tuned for what is to become of the next upcoming star, Michelle Soares.

RM: Ok Michelle, it is time for the round up, if there is anything you want to add or someone you want to thank please go ahead!

MS:  I would like to add my own personal quote that has helped me on my own journey. “The Heart has no boundaries. Find the courage and follow your heart” – Michelle Soares.

RM: Thank you for taking the time and making this interview possible with us Michelle. Best of luck in the future and your goal of winning that pro card ! Additionally Rising Muscle would also a special thanks to Nancy Di Nino for connecting us to make this interview possible
