Jose Raymond aka “The Boston Mass” at His Last Olympia

Jose Raymond

Jose Raymond recently competed at his last Mr. Olympia. Additionally, he has covered a few weekend highlights in his vlog series.

Before the Olympia a week ago, The Boston Mass competed at Arnold Classic where he didn’t come in at 100%. Raymond’s legs were a lot smaller than earlier and his conditioning wasn’t as sharp as fans are used to see.

In addition, Raymond has had hip problems during the last years which have interfered with the ability to train legs to the fullest.

Consequently, he underwent surgery almost immediately after Arnold Classic.  The surgery and the additional rehab was successful so Raymond began prepping directly for his last Olympia.

Raymond’s Olympia package as he called it “Best for Last” was much improved since the Arnold’s. The size of the quads was larger and the conditioning was better. In addition, he landed at 5th in a good lineup.

However, Olympia wasn’t his Raymond’s last competition. In fact, he competed in South Korea at the Asia Grand Prix this weekend, along with names like Shaun Clarida, David Henry, and Hadi “The Persian Wolf” Choopan. See the results below.

If Raymond continues to compete the year out is yet to be decided.
