The last time the 43-year-old Jose Raymond competed was at the Arnold Classic this year, where he placed 5th. He was far from the best version of himself which fans are used to see.  It was evident that his legs were smaller than before. A body part which has been one of his strong points throughout his career.

In the later years the Bostonian has battled problems with his hips which hurt his leg training. In addition, he underwent surgery after the latest Arnold Classic.

Nevertheless, after the operation The Boston Mass began his rehabilitation and has been made rapid improvements. and has even been able to squat again.

In addition, Raymond is currently in preparation for his last Olympia in 4’5 week along with the reigning champion Flex Lewis, who also is making his last 212 Olympia before moving to the open division next year.

Both Raymond and Lewis have been in many battles together before and will now finish it off together one last time.

The Mr. Olympia weekend will take place at the Orleans arena in Las Vegas from 13th – 16th September.
