Before this year’s Olympia, many experts and fans were certain that Phil Heath would win his 8th consecutive Sandown. However, as a surprise Shawn “Flexatron” Rhoden. brought his A-game and became the 14th Mr. Olympia in the history of bodybuilding.
Flexatron had a better flow to his physique and won the front double biceps and abs & thigh pose clearly to Heath. However, Heath was dominant in the most of the back poses, In regards to the front lat spread it was closer, but it seems like Rhoden had an edge in this pose as well.
In any case, it was enough for the judges to crown a new Mr. Olympia for 2018 and winner of $400.000.
