Flexatron had a better flow to his physique and won the front double biceps and abs & thigh pose clearly to Heath. However, Heath was dominant in the most of the back poses, In regards to the front lat spread it was closer, but it seems like Rhoden had an edge in this pose as well.

In any case, it was enough for the judges to crown a new Mr. Olympia for 2018 and winner of $400.000.

Phil Heath made a statement after the show when he obviously was disappointed that he didn’t win, but congratulated Rhoden. If the former Mr. Olympia will make a comeback in 2019 is unclear at this moment.

Another new feature for this year was the audience had the ability to vote for their champion. In addition, the result wouldn’t change the official one set by the judges.

Instead, their choice would win the people’s champion award which was given to Roelly Winklaar.
